Meet Auntie Linda,
Syracuse's Own Market Queen

Born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, Auntie Linda grew up surrounded by the vibrant sights, sounds, and smells of African markets: colorful Ankara fabrics, mountains of spices, and the warm spirit of community trading.

After moving to Syracuse, she noticed her community was missing a piece of home. So she did what any true Ghanaian woman would do. She built it herself. The African & Caribbean Central Market was born out of love, culture, and a deep desire to make everyone, from Nigeria to Jamaica, Ethiopia to Trinidad, feel at home.

Today, Auntie Linda's warm smile greets every customer who walks through the door. She knows her products, she knows her people, and she knows that food is more than nutrition. It's a connection to where you come from.

The African & Caribbean Central Market is more than a store. It's a cultural anchor for the Syracuse community. We carry authentic ingredients, textiles, crafts, and wellness products sourced directly from across Africa and the Caribbean.

From premium spices and imported groceries to beautiful Ankara prints and artisanal carvings, every item on our shelves carries the spirit of its origin.

Our knowledgeable staff are always ready to guide you, whether you're a seasoned cook preparing Jollof rice or a first-timer discovering the magic of Berbere spice for the first time.

We also offer Ria Money Transfer services in-store, connecting our community to family and friends around the world.
